Welcome to Preschool!

First Baptist Nursery School is an outreach program of the First Baptist Church of Norristown. We are incredibly blessed to be able to provide quality teaching, spiritual engagement, and a loving environment to the children and families within our community at a low cost. We offer three classes for children: Pre-Three Year Old class, Three Year Old class, and a Pre-K class. Classes are held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, but we also offer a special Lunch Bunch program where children can stay until 2:30 p.m. to socialize and eat a packed lunch.

Preschool Classes

PRE-THREES: In the Pre-Three Year Old class, students will practice socialization, following directions, and name recognition. They also will be introduced to basic coloring, cutting, and pre-writing skills. In order to qualify for the Pre-Three class, the student must be two years and seven months old by September 1 of the upcoming school year. Pre-Three students attend class twice a week.

THREE YEAR OLDS: In the three-year-old class, students will learn to identify colors and shapes, and practice using scissors, counting, name recognition, and printing. The three-year-old class meets three days a week. Please note that all students must be potty trained.

PRE-K: The Pre-K class is all about kindergarten readiness. The students will review colors and shapes, identify letters and sounds, print the letters of the alphabet, print their names, identify and print numbers 1-10, and much more! The Pre-K class is held Monday through Thursday. Please note that all students must be potty trained.

FRIDAY FRIENDS: This class is offered to our Pre-Three Year Old and Pre-K classes. Our Friday Friends class is an enhancement to our curriculum offering activities boosting gross motor skills, sensory exploration, storytelling and much more.

SUMMER CAMP: Summer Camp is held Monday through Thursday for three weeks. All potty trained students can attend one, two, or all three weeks of Summer Camp. Camp begins the week of Memorial Day with a different theme each week. The activities will include at least one Splash Day along with games, snacks, songs and crafts.
