What's Worship Like?
Our worship consists primarily of four parts: music, prayer, connection, and the Word. Our music is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs, led by our talented Praise Team. We dedicate a portion of the service to open the floor to anyone who wants to share a praise or prayer concern. The Word of God is the foundation for all that we do in church, and we receive the message every week from our pastor (and, occasionally, guest speakers). We also have an opportunity to partake in communion on the first Sunday of each month. Our service begins at 10:30 AM and is finished before 12:00 PM. We also encourage you to stay after the service to connect with members of the church and enjoy some delicious snacks!
Our Sermon Focus
Each year at First Baptist Church, we have a single word that we reflect on and are actively pursuing as a church. This year has brought us to the word HOME.
Do you feel like you don't have a home? We want to let you know that God is the ultimate provider for us as Hebrews 3:4 says, "For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything." Our physical church was built by architects and construction workers but the Ultimate Worker in our life has provided a blueprint for our workmanship within the Bible. I pray you will find rest and peace this year at FBC, both within our walls and within the loving arms of our wonderful church family just as Isaiah 32:18 says, "My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest."
