If you have been worshiping Jesus
with us for a while and believe our Father is calling you to join in preaching,
teaching, and living the Gospel here at FBC, then we invite you to talk to
Pastor Kelly about becoming a member. We’ve
included our guidelines for membership for your convenience.
Becoming a Member of
• Because He is our LORD, all those interested in membership
must confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. As Baptists we believe in baptism by immersion
and invite all our prospective members to consider following Him through the
waters of baptism if you have not already done so at another church.
• If you already hold membership at another American Baptist
church, after speaking with our Pastor you may simply request your previous
church send us a letter indicating your desire to transfer membership.
• For those who worshiped previously at a non ABC church,
membership transfer requires a letter stating whether you were baptized by
immersion at that church and indicating your membership with that local body of
believers.
• For all those seeking membership, speak with Pastor Kelly
about beginning the New Members Class where we will discuss the basic beliefs
taught and lived here at FBC about the Father, Son, and Spirit. After completing the course, the Board of
Deacons will meet with you to pray and discuss your testimony. Afterward the church will vote to welcome you
as a disciple and worshiper of Jesus serving Him in ministry and mission at
FBC.
