How to Become a Member of First Baptist Church
• By confessing Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior and have been baptized by immersion and promise to live a Christian life.
• By presenting a letter of transfer and recommendation from another Baptist Church
• By presenting proof that you were baptized by immersion by another church, and voted into membership by the church.
• A person may become a member if they demonstrate their faith and show evidence of serious discipleship by presenting a letter from their evangelical church, or by their own experience, if approved by the Board of Deacons. This procedure would be followed by a vote of the church.
Note: Any member not baptized by immersion is entitled to all rights
and privileges of the church except voting on matters of denominational affiliation.
During the singing of the last hymn, we encourage you to respond if you are considering church membership, making a decision to accept Christ, or if you need to talk with the pastor. Members of the Board of Deacons are at the exits following the worship service. Please feel free to speak to one of them or to the pastor with any questions you may have. You may also contact the pastor by calling the church office at (610) 539-7075.
